Cookie Policy
We use as little client-side storage as it is possible to use and still run a website. This page lists every item, without exception.

The short version
We do not run advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics or tracking pixels on this site. Nothing here follows you around the internet.
The one thing worth knowing: when you click through to a charter partner, that partner sets its own cookie on its own website so that the referral can be credited to us. That is how affiliate commission works, and it is described in our affiliate disclosure.
Everything we store
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| ym-cookie-consent | Local storage | Records that you have seen and answered the cookie notice, so it is not shown again. | Until you clear your browser storage |
| next-auth.session-token | Essential cookie | Keeps an administrator signed in to the private admin area. It is only ever set after a successful staff login and is never set for ordinary visitors. | 8 hours |
| Partner cookies | Third party | Set by Boatbookings or Borrow A Boat on their own websites after you follow a link from here, so that a referral can be attributed. They are not set by us and not set on this domain. | Typically 30 days — set by the partner |
Our web server also records standard request logs — IP address, page requested, browser and timestamp. These are not cookies, are used only for security and troubleshooting, and are deleted after 90 days.
Your choices
Because we set no advertising or analytics cookies, choosing “Essential only” on the banner and choosing “Accept” currently result in the same behaviour. We would rather say that plainly than present a consent dialogue that implies more tracking than actually exists. If we ever add analytics, this page and the banner will change first.
You can clear the stored preference at any time by clearing site data for yachtsmarketplace.com in your browser settings; the notice will then reappear on your next visit. Every major browser also lets you block or delete cookies entirely — the public pages of this site work normally with cookies blocked.
To control what our partners store, use the cookie settings on their own websites, or block third-party cookies in your browser before clicking through.
